The COVID-19 Update Town reports 57 newly confirmed cases for second consecutive week; no new deaths By Mark E. Vogler here were 57 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases over the past seven days through Wednesday (July 20), according to Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree. That’s the same number of new cases in town as reported last week by the state Department of Public Health (DPH), increasing the overall total to 9,537 confi rmed cases, according to Crabtree. There have been more than 740 confi rmed cases over the past 13 weeks (which averages out to 57) as the virus continues to hang around, causing some people to keep wearing masks at Town Hall even though they are optional.
