The event was held completely in the environs of Malden High School, with tents set up for dining in the MHS Courtyard, food stations in the MHS Gallery and an impromptu decision to host dancing in the school gym, when a recalcitrant rainfall refused to go away. “What an incredible evening we all shared. It took so much work behind-the-scenes, by so many people,” Mastrangelo said, “but of course, it was all worth it. The smiles on the faces of our kids, even beneath their masks, were what we had been waiting to see for so long.” “For the first time in such a long time in this pandemic, our kids had fun in a school setting,” Mastrangelo said.
