The Class of 2026 senior was one of the conference’s top pitchers, recording 70 strikeouts and posting an impressive 2.16 earned run average (ERA). Throughout the season, Powers consistently delivered in high-pressure situations, providing steady leadership while anchoring Mystic Valley’s pitching staff. Powers’ success extended beyond conference play. (Courtesy photo) campaign, he was selected to the Eastern Massachusetts Senior All-Star Team, representing Team Massachusetts in the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association’s 48th Eastern Massachusetts Senior All-Star Game on June 16 at Holman Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire. The annual showcase featured many of the top graduating baseball players from across Massachusetts competing against the New Hampshire Senior All-Stars. Despite Team Massachusetts falling 11–7, Powers contributed both offensively and defensively, drawing a walk, collecting a single, scoring a run and playing center field. The third consecutive CAC Most Valuable Player honor further reflects Powers’ consistency, leadership and impact on the Mystic Valley baseball program.
