Everett High School Principal Erick Naumann announced each graduate as they crossed the stage. S ta t e Sena t or S al DiDomenico said Everett High School is the most diverse high school in the commonwealth. Class Secretary Betania Zelalem. Jackie Abranches gave the welcoming address. Cancer survivor Sarai Velez presented “A friend not forgotten” in memory of her classmate, Christina Troville, who died before graduation. Class President Shawn Shiek’s address was about living in the moment. Salutatorian Breetika Maharja told graduates that their experience in Everett will carry on. R ob er to Velasquez presented a speech on behalf of Mayor Carlo DeMaria, who was at a mayor’s conference in Nevada. Leticia Zavala Ayala took a selfi e, as she graduated. Grieving mother Jamette Troville and best friend, Gianna Casaletto accepted a high school diploma on behalf of Christina Troville, who passed away before she could graduate. Shani Headley was all smiles, as she received her diploma, from School Committee member Samantha Lambert. A parent held a sign, supporting her graduate, in the audience.
