Cocciardi is the cofounder of the production company Two Sharp Quills with fellow playwright Judith Strang-Waldau. The mission of their female-run production company is getting new plays by women playwrights to the stage. They produced their first play, “Rockabye,” at the Mosesian Center for the Arts Black Box Theater in 2018. Cocciardi is a member of Writers & Actors INK in Newburyport. An advertising and marketing executive for over 20 years, Cocciardi works as a marketing director at a national health-care company. Her latest two-act play, “Compound Fractures,” is being produced at the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre in April. This comedic play explores one woman’s journey to change the course of her life by following a dream she has always wanted to pursue despite the many obstacles her family and friends put in her way. Her play “Beyond” was included in the Boston Theater Marathon in May 2016 and ran at the Calderwood Pavilion in Boston. Rather, he said, the starting line is where he feels the greatest amount of “anxiety and nerves.” “It’s one of those love-hate things,” he said. “Part of the experience is the journey to get to the start point.” Hall described the storied course as “exhilarating.” “It’s challenging mentally and physically,” he said. “There’s a lot of different emotions that go through your head.” He was not fazed by the cold and wet weather conditions that plagued many runners last year. “Whining about it isn’t going to help,” he said. Hall also shared one of his traditions after crossing the finish line on Boylston Street. “I grab a shot of tequila with my friends,” he said. Hall said he does not spend much time on the sidelines following the marathon. “You look for the next race,” he said. In addition to running Boston, Hall has participated in seven other marathons, including those in New York and Chicago.
