Wednesday 20 April Moving from Science 1 to Working Scientifically (New Curriculum) in Key Stage 1 and 2 With Jane Banham 8:45-3:30pm – Village Primary School, DE23 8DF Course Details This course aims to inform teachers and subject leaders about the latest developments in moving from Science 1 in the old National Curriculum into those changes in the New Curriculum with Working Scientifically. Practical advice will be given and opportunities for exploring these changes with examples that can be used in the classroom. Participants will have:  Developed an understanding of the importance of progression in working scientifically and the implications for Science learning and teaching;  Raised awareness of how the new working scientifically can be assessed  Identified a range of practical strategies to teach and extend science skills, leading towards increased independence in children and the development of ‘real’ scientists Please note that lunch & refreshments will be provided.
