Level 3 Manual Handling Trainers Delivered by an experienced trainer, this course provides delegates with all they need to know about delivering manual handling awareness training. Who should attend? Course Dates Managers, supervisors, instructors and training officers, safety professionals and those with responsibility for training others in manual handling techniques, with previous training experience. Aims of the course: • To develop knowledge of the rationale behind managing handling risks in the workplace • To develop the learner’s knowledge of the structure and function of the spine, causes of back pain and basic understanding of biomechanics of the spine to provide the under-pinning knowledge for the practical aspect of manual handling • • Skills to translate theory into practices of efficient movement and biomechanical principles by the application to manual handling activities Develop training skills in manual handling to enable delegates to teach/mentor/coach induction and mandatory training that is bespoke to your organisation based on current best practice What are the learning outcomes? • An underpinning knowledge of physiology and up-todate manual handling principles • • Practical advice on manual handling awareness training Certification as a Level 3 Manual Handling Trainer Course duration and assessment: The course will be delivered via flexible distance learning and face-to-face training. All delegates will need to submit a final assessment based on their own organisation in order to receive the Level 3 qualification. On successful completion of the practical and paperless assessments, delegates will be awarded a Manual Handling Trainers certificate, valid for three years. An excellent course.
