Manual Handling Trainers Requalification This course aims to update and further develop existing Level 3 manual handling trainer’s knowledge and skills by introducing them to new theories and practices relating to the subject area of manual handling practices and training. The course will provide learners with an update on legislative changes and practices, that impact on managing manual handling risks and training. Learners will be introduced to a range of ergonomic evaluation tools to enable them to analyse and evaluate manual handling risks and training in their workplace, and validate their practices and decision making. Who should attend? This course is only available to delegates who have completed level 3 Manual Handling Qualification. Course content: • Review of current handling practices including practical work • Update in legislative requirements and best practices relating to manual handling • How to evidence base manual handling What are the learning outcomes? • Be able to apply efficient movement principles in line with best practice • Recognise changes in legislative requirements and best practices relating to manual handling and their implications in practice • Be able to evidence base manual handling practices using different types of evidence Keep up-to-date with new theories.
