The company was launched a short five years ago by its current CEO Tertius van Eeden, and has grown exponentially since then. It was awarded a Bronze medal for innovation in the annual GAPP Awards, South Africa’s “Oscars” for the printing industry, in 2018 – just three years after the company’s inception. ness process, which Tertius van Eeden calls the “Book of One” philosophy, in which copies of books and other printed matter are not printed until an order is received, allowing prints of single copies or small quantities to be undertaken. This has been made possible by the advent of digital print technologies. This process was to a large extent perfected and popularised by eCommerce giant Amazon, which remains one of the few companies worldwide to offer it successfully.
