Upcoming Sermon Series A New Sermon Series Beginning in September This September, we begin a new sermon series called Revival: Wesley Heritage Pilgrimage, inspired by my recent journey through England tracing the steps of John Wesley and his family. We visited Epworth, Oxford, Bristol, and London—places where the Methodist revival first took root. Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore: • Wesley’s Family Roots • The Fire of Oxford • The Preaching on the Streets • The Grace That Transforms • Revival for Today I invite you to join us for this series with open hearts and expectant spirits. My hope is that as we remember Wesley’s story, God will stir up renewal in us. Just as the Methodist revival spread across England and America, may God’s Spirit bring revival here—in our church, our families, and our city. Come ready to learn, to pray, and to be inspired. Revival begins with us. Fall Bible Study: A Refresher on Being United Methodist This fall, our Bible study will take us back to the basics of what it means to be United Methodist. Using F. Belton Joyner Jr.’s book Being United Methodist in the Bible Belt, we’ll explore our core beliefs—grace, Scripture, the Wesleyan way of discipleship—and how they shape our daily lives. Living in the Bible Belt means we often hear faith expressed in language or traditions that may sound different from our own. This study will give us fresh tools and a common vocabulary to talk about our Methodist identity with clarity and confidence. Whether you’ve been Methodist your whole life or are just beginning to learn, this will be a helpful and encouraging journey. Come ready to ask questions, share experiences, and deepen your understanding of our Wesleyan heritage. You can buy a book online or talk to Jana. Beginning September 10th Cavanaugh 12:00
