Note from Pastor Jana I am almost shocked that it is already May. Where did the month of April go? We went from Advent almost immediately into Lent. Then, we celebrated Easter. I know as a pastor, I had thought the month of April will be slower. I was wrong. The month went fast. A lot happened in that month, there was a movie night hosted at Cavanaugh. We watched Breakthrough and the movie tugged on everyone’s hearts. Charlie is still talking about it! Stories of people whose lives have been touched by God are powerful and can move us. So, I hope you will join us this upcoming Sunday at Wesley at 4:00 to watch and share in fellowship with one another. We also had a huge packing party for the backpack ministry. It takes many folks to make that happen. It was a joy to see so many come together to work for a common mission. In about 30 minutes of time we packed 300 bags! That is incredible. I am thankful for both churches coming together to make this ministry happen. The counselors greatly appreciate not having to make the tough decisions of who won’t receive because of you! They know all the kids will be provided for and the kids are thankful as well. In the midst of a fast-paced April, filled with movie nights, packing parties, Bible studies, and worship, we've been reminded of the power of community, compassion, and faith. From the heartwarming impact of movie night to the collective effort of our backpack ministry, we've witnessed firsthand how stories of resilience and acts of kindness can unite us and deepen our connection to God and one another. As we move into May, let's carry forward the spirit of fellowship and service that has defined our April, knowing that together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those around us. In Christ, Pastor Jana
