SENIOR SCHOOL Extending the Day Beyond the Classroom Pupils have enjoyed an enhanced extended day programme this year with each term offering around 28 different activities. Ongoing favourites of cooking, squash, fitness, mindfulness and art have been supported by a wide range of sporting activities like girls’ football, mixed hockey, mountain biking, golf and archery. For those with a hunger for more academic studies German for beginners, STEM, forensic investigations, Cypher challenge, TEFL, Rubik’s cube club, philosophy, Chess club and mock trials have proved popular. Life skills activities like gardening, rookie lifeguard, young enterprise, Charity club have had good take up, as have creative new activities such as guitar club, origami, book folding, lace making and pottery.
