Hacker’s Amateur Tour releases 2020 schedule The Hacker’s Amateur Tour, which started in 2000 and has conducted over 200 events on the Gulf Coast, has released its 2020 schedule. The tour, which is run by Peach Waller (Pace, Fla.), will have 11 events to celebrate its 20th year in business. The first stop on the 2020 schedule actually takes place Dec. 14-15 at TimberCreek Golf Club in Spanish Fort, Ala. There is no tournament in January and things pick back up for the tour on Feb. 8-9 with an event at Cotton Creek at Craft Farms in Gulf Shores,Ala. On March 4-5, the Hacker’s Amateur Tour will be at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Navarre, Fla. and on April 4-5, the tour will be at Scenic Hills Country Club in Pensacola, Fla. Stonebrook Golf Club (Pace, Fla.) will be the site for the May 2-3 tournament, while Shell Landing Golf Club (Gautier, Miss.) will play host to the June 13-14 tourney. On July 11-12, the tour will be at Perdido Bay Golf Club in Perdido Key, Florida.The Aug. 8-9 venue for the Hacker’s Amateur Tour is Cypress Bend at Craft Farms in Gulf Shores. The season concludes with stops at The Peninsula in Gulf Shores (Sept. 12-13), Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier, Miss. (Oct. 3-4) and Rock Creek Golf Club in Daphne, Ala. (Nov. 7-8). The tour is open to male golfers 21 or older with an established handicap of 32 or less. All tournaments are a individual competition and the scoring is a Modified Stableford format. Each tournament is divided into flights with normally 14-25 players in each flight.There is overall tournament money as well as an optional skins game in each flight.
