Principal's Word Dear TAOTS Families, I’d like to welcome you all to our 6th Annual Gala. When we first opened TAOTS - our first few Galas were held in our own Cafeteria and the TAOTS Gymnasium. As we passed the torch onto our PTO we were excited to see what our Gala would evolve into. In just a few short years and with a lot of help from our amazing past and present PTOs, here we are today at this amazing venue - The Dyker Beach Golf Club - look how far we’ve come! This year's Alice in Wonderland theme celebrates the magic of curiosity, the infinite reach of imagination and the whimsy of childhood. Here at TAOTS we look for the hidden talents and imagination and whimsy our young students have within themselves. We continue to inspire and spark that curiosity for learning and our teachers and staff work so tirelessly to create a “Magical” environment at TAOTS. We help them become Lifelong Learners and Talented Scholars. As you look around tonight, please go visit and bid on the creative and beautiful student created class projects that are the highlight of this event. Our dedicated teachers and students worked very hard to create these masterpieces. Reflecting on this amazing year so far, our PTO has shattered fundraising events and has record breaking sales. They continue to explore new and exciting fundraising options for families and have increased parent involvement to an all-time high. We are bridging together families and staff this year more than ever and increasing TAOTS’ presence at many community events throughout our district. We will continue to support our hardworking volunteer parents who make up our PTO and our parent body and we encourage all parents to support TAOTS tonight and in all future endeavors.
