The Sandusky Library Foundation thanks its 2021-2022 donors for their generosity! Dear Library Friends and Supporters, We greatly appreciate your support for the preservation of the Library’s historic buildings. Your help has enabled the Library’s exterior restoration project to move forward. Substantial work on the original Carnegie Library and former Erie County Jail and the Follett House Museum was completed in 2022. While performing this work, we made new discoveries about their condition. Two areas of the project, the Carnegie tile roof at the Library and the north entrance staircase at the Follett House Museum, require an expanded scope of work and additional expense for full replacement. Plans for restoring the roof and staircase are underway, and the work will be scheduled in 2023. As work remains to be done to fully realize our goal, the Library’s Foundation Board has pledged its support toward this expanded work from gifts received in 2023. Donations to the Library Foundation’s Annual Fund this year are needed for this phase of the restoration. Please consider a gift to the Sandusky Library and Follett House Museum Foundation in support of preserving our community landmarks for future generations. Donations may be mailed to: Sandusky Library and Follett House Museum Foundation, 114 W. Adams St., Sandusky, OH 44870. Please make checks payable to “Sandusky Library Foundation”. Paid for by the Sandusky Library and Follett House Museum Foundation.
