CONDUCTOR EXTENSION ARMS Hastings Super 'U' Arm Extensions are designed with a 'U' Shape for greater strength and durability. The support arms are designed for use as a temporary aid in reconductoring existing lines and insulator replacements, or as an aid for moving out conductors to obtain working clearance in congested areas. All arms include insulated conductor holders. Arms are rated for 34.5 kV phase to phase work applications. Standard conductor holders will accommodate Wire up to 1-1/16" (800 MCM). Large capacity conductor holders with a gate opening of 2-5/8" can accommodate conductors within a line hose. All Super 'U' Arms are load rated for 200 lbs.. per wire (conductor) holder. Available with large hanger loop for use on systems with larger cross arms. 100% electrically tested per OSHA and ASTM F-711. The extension arms are designed for use on voltages up to and including 15 kV where reconductoring or insulator replacement is necessary. The Epoxiglas® Extension Arms can be used on voltages up to 34.5 kV providing the wireholders are fitted with M48057 insulators. The Extension Arms are suspended under the crossarm by brackets to enable to conductor to be removed from the original crossarm and placed in the wireholder mounted on the extension arm. Standard extension arms (2-1/2" X 6') and conductor holders have a maximum verticle loading of 150 lbs. per holder.
