The driver is designed to handle an 8' rod while standing on the ground and drive the rod below the grade without the need of additional tools. It handles the job with relative ease and contains the impact force within the unit. A 5' section of 5/8 inch copper clad threaded ground rod is included with the temporary ground rod drivers. The temporary ground rod drivers allow the ground rod to be installed or removed. A threaded adapter is available for the temporary ground rod driver to allow ground rods to be permanently installed.
