The split handle design allows the operator to perform a forward-and-back motion, similar to a scissor type motion. This design has a wider blade opening which allows for a larger whole to be dug. The solid handle design allows the operator to perform a side-to-side motion to capture the load which is standard for post hole diggers. The operating action begins with the handles together and the handles are then pulled apart to capture the load. The blades are made of heavy gauge alloy steel which are welded to the fulcrum bracket, therefore no rivets are present to shear off. Two bolts hold each handle securly to digger head making them easy to replace when necessary. *Anything over 8' has to be shipped via Motor Freight.
