GLOSSARY OF TERMS Public Street. A public right-of-way used for vehicular traffic that is permanently maintained by the City of Reynoldsburg, by the State of Ohio, or by the federal government. Public Swimming Pool. Any outdoor structure, chamber, or tank containing a body of water for swimming, diving, recreational use, or sanctioned event that is intended to be used collectively for swimming, diving, recreational use, or sanctioned event and is operated by any person whether as the owner, lessee, operator, licensee, or concessionaire, regardless of whether or not a fee is charged for use. Public Uses. Public parks, schools, and administrative, cultural, and service buildings, not including public land or buildings devoted solely to the storage or maintenance of equipment and material. Public Way. An alley, avenue, boulevard, bridge, channel, ditch, easement, expressway, freeway, highway, land, parkway, right of way, road, sidewalk, street, subway, tunnel, viaduct, walk, bicycle path or other ways in which the general public or a public entity have a right, or which are dedicated whether improved or not. Recreation Facility, Commercial. Recreation facilities open to the public, established and operated for a profit, such as commercial golf courses, golf driving ranges, swimming pools, ice skating rinks, riding stables, race tracks, carnivals, and similar commercial enterprises. 260
