In any month, over 350,000 individuals are served by 858 partner food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency shelters. To help our partners provide the best service to our neighbors in need, the Food Bank offered 17 virtual trainings in 2022 on topics such as food safety, cultural responsiveness, social media, understanding implicit bias, and assessing community need, as well as quarterly Town Hall meetings with our CEO. Additionally, our staff visited 649 of our partners to ensure compliance with food safety standards, help build capacity to better meet the needs of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity, and update our partners on Food Bank and Feeding America policies.. Our fleet of trucks and dedicated team of drivers traveled 421,000 miles in 2022 delivering food and picking up donations, the equivalent of 1,619 miles each day! 4
