April POETRY MONTH continued When the alarm goes off, the sound imprints our brains We want to stay in bed listening to the sound of rain. We need to be off to school- not wanting to miss that bus. It seems the whole world is always in one big rush. But soon, the alarm will not go off- summer will be here. No school for a few months- will we really miss it there? Not seeing our friends and classmates everyday Could be good but sometimes I wish I could stay. It’s not a bad thing, wanting to learn. It will help my education and the paycheck I will earn. I will enjoy my summer and hang out with my friends, But I will not be embarrassed to say that I won’t be sad when it ends.
