I say to you: whoever dismisses (repudiates, divorces) his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” From the above Scripture, we see that the root cause for Moses permitting divorce was because of the hardness of heart that was in the men of his time, which hardness derived its roots from the Law which signifies a heart of stone. This heart God promised to replace with a new heart of flesh accompanied by His Spirit; this we see that in the New covenant we were established in having received Jesus 29
