promised to make him [bound son] a great nation, and yet we know of only one great nation spoken of in Scripture and this is the nation of Faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. That means that God would also save this seed born of flesh. Later on in the New Testament we see in JOHN 3:16 say “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” This a great nation spoken by God that day with Hagar, her son was also given access to this Promise. We also see that it took the free Son [Christ from the heavenly Jerusalem] to come and redeem the bound son, by showing him [them] the Way [Himself—the author of Freedom].
