nations are fighting nations, famines and earthquakes were the conversation of the day in verse 7; when men were persecuted for Christ`s sake in verse 9; when men are falling away from the Gospel in verse 10; when many false prophets are risen and deceive the flock in verse 11; when the love of many has grown cold in verse 12. This then we now realize why Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to Me.” We feel the pain of God here when He speaks of His people being destroyed for a lack of knowledge, remember He emphasizes on the cause of this being that the priests have rejected knowledge.
