Here we see that as in the Old Testament where it was only the high priest who had access to the holy of holies which was a shadow of the great original, here we see that when heaven was thrown open, John the revelator was thrown back into time past where he saw the ark of covenant in the sanctuary. Hebrews 9:7-8 says, “but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the errors of the people. By this the Holy Spirit points out that the way into the [true Holy of] Holies is not yet thrown open as long as the former [the outer portion of the] tabernacle remains a recognized institution and is still standing.” When we talk about the outer portion, it is revealed
