Balaam a prophet in the Old Testament still made reference of in the New Testament, who for a wage was willing to curse the children of Israel, but for God’s blessing upon them could not do it but taught Balak to put a stumbling block before them, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality [REVELATION 2:14].
