SALVATION, THE NEW BIRTH, THE NEW YOU [really] keep the Law, but they want to have you circumcised in order that they may glory in your flesh (your subjection to external rites).” That means that those ministers of the Law themselves failed and have never fulfilled the Law that they teach to others, and their pride is presenting what they have failed to fulfil [the Law] for others too to fight or struggle trying to fulfil it, and their role is being watch dogs over other men and also giving the men they think have been able to fulfil the Law as examples to them who have failed to.
