The Travels of my Youth I went to Naju. This place is South of S.Korea. This is where the drama “Jumong” was filmed. So I went there on purpose. Back then it was a very popular drama. My husband and I didn’t have children yet and were very much younger so it was possible! Naju and nearby places are famous for the bamboo forest. We walked and took pictures in the bamboo forest. And we bought bamboo products for my father. Koreans say “Jook Buin” translated into English “bamboo wife”. The reason it is called that is when people sleep hugging in hotter summer, the bamboo has a cooling property. Jiyon is a student in the Intermediate High ESL class in the morning Yajuan is a student in the Beginning High/ Intermediate Low Senior ESL class
