Swimming is a healthy, low-cost activity that you can continue throughout your life. Swimming is a low-impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits. Swimming is a great whole-body workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. Swimming can prevent drowning. However, I prefer the reason that it can offer a relatively injury free exercise in comparison to other competition activities. At first, I had my right knee pain ten years ago. Then I had to visit an orthopedist. Then I had been asked to replaced my knee by my two orthopedists in China. But my Chinese medicine doctor said “No”. Afterwards, I enjoyed two years swimming in the United States. My knee pain was gone and proved by my two years practice. The soft tissue injury can be restored by swimming.
