There are additional resources that exist on the system and are not visible to MISO, such as behind-the-meter-generation or utility loadmodifying resources, which do not participate in the wholesale market. As the 2019 Organization of MISO States (OMS) survey suggests, DERs are expected to increase. With this growth in mind, MISO wants to better understand the opportunities and challenges to sustain and enhance reliability and MISO's value proposition.
