Contacting Your Nursing Team Our team is devoted to anticipating and responding to your needs as quickly as possible. Contact your nursing team by using your call light located at your bedside. Patient Identification Before providing care, such as giving medications or performing a test, your health care team will confirm your name and date of birth to be sure you receive the care that has been personalized to meet your needs. We encourage your active participation in maintaining your safety. Medication Safety ⬤ Inform your provider and nurse of all medications you are taking, including over-the-counter vitamins and herbs. ⬤ If you have brought medications from home, please tell your nurse immediately and do not take any medication without approval from your health care provider. ⬤ If you do not recognize a medication, ask your nurse or health care provider for more information about the medication and its purpose.
