Behind the Brand BUSH KIN cat coathup Located in South Pambula on the NSW south coast, Bush Kin was born during the bushfire crisis of summer 2019/20 and comes from a love of our country and what makes it unique. Cat Coathup designs and creates a range of Australian made, eco-friendly jewellery and souvenirs including earrings, keyrings, magnets and pins. She explains, “The creations are carefully drawn by hand and capture the essence of the Australian landscape and its animals and are designed for travellers to be able to take a small part of our country with them wherever they go.” Each piece is made using sustainably sourced native hardwoods, so they are kind to our environment and a step in the direction of a better future. Bush Kin also has an ongoing partnership with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, aimed to support where the funds are needed the most. This partnership reinforces the company’s focus on sustainability and conservation. Cat continues, “Bush Kin aims to shake up the Australian souvenir and gift market creating a change in what we purchase as a representation of our great country. Creating something that is Australian made, from Australian grown timbers, is our way of ensuring that there is a truly Australian option in the market. Our products are not only Australian made but most importantly ecofriendly in a market that is dominated by cheap Chinese imports.” LOVE OF HOME | 2020 October Shopping Guide
