Behind the Brand GALLERYGIFT brook winfield GalleryGift was founded by Brook Winfield when her daughter was turning one. Brook recalls, “We had a big celebration but felt that she didn't really need any more ‘stuff’ and knew the ‘no gifts please’ request wouldn't work, so we gave our loved ones the option of pitching in for an artwork for her. We ended up with a beautiful picture that she is now growing up with on her wall. Not long after that, I realised group gifting of original art was a great option for all sorts of occasions and GalleryGift was born.” The intent behind GalleryGift is to make art available for everyone. Original art has historically been out of reach for many people but with GalleryGift making group gifting of original art easy, more people can finally afford and access original artworks. The three main goals are: one, to be a really easy, meaningful and special gift solution; two, to allow more people to fill their homes with art they love; and three, for artists to be able to sell more of their incredible pieces. Brook explains, “No other art gallery has a focus on original art as gifts or the unique group gifting CoFund feature. The recipients of these CoFund vouchers can then choose the artwork themselves from either our online art gallery, our participating galleries, or they can commission a GalleryGift artist to create a specific piece. At the end of the process they are guaranteed to receive an artwork they absolutely love. Giving and receiving art brings a huge amount of joy to both the givers and the receivers. You just can't beat the feeling of giving someone a gift they've never received before, that nobody else in the world has and that will be a lasting memento of a special time in their lives. It's incredibly special.” At GalleryGift, only artists of a very high standard are accepted onto the site. GalleryGift pride themselves on bringing beautiful, creative, unique artwork to the public so you can choose with confidence. Brook believes GalleryGift is revolutionising the way art is bought and sold by giving modern day artists a place to exhibit their work based solely on talent and popularity while making original art much more accessible, achievable and affordable for all of us.
