EVENTS JEWISH HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES By David Harrison The Lake Ashton community is invited to attend the Jewish High Holiday services. Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) will be Friday, September 11 at 7 pm in the HFC Community Center. Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) will be Sunday September 20 at 7 pm in the HFC Community Room. Yizkor (Memorial Service) will also be Sunday following the Yom Kippur Service. All residents are encouraged to attend and find out why the New Year is celebrated in September. LAPAC WINE WALK By Diane Banti It’s time to save the date for our Fall fundraiser! This year, we’re hosting an exciting Wine Walk & Tasting with a Beer Garden on October 17 from 6–9 pm at the HFC. FALL FESTIVAL /ADULT TRUNK OR TREATING Come one, come all; let’s celebrate Fall! Join friends and neighbors on October 31 at 5 pm for the annual Fall Festival but with a twist; Adult Trunk or Treating! What is an Adult Trunk or Treat? An adult trunk or treat is a Halloween-themed neighborhood block party where adults gather in a parking lot, SCAN TO SIGN UP OR PURCHASE TICKETS FOR EVENTS AT THE CLUBHOUSE! 26 decorate the open trunks of their cars with festive or spooky themes, and exchange adult-centric treats, such as wine, cocktails, alcohol minis, candy or specialty treats, rather than child-focused treats. People in costumes walk from car to car to collect treats, play games, etc. Get those costumes ready for a spooky good time! There will also be a costume contest with a prize for the winner, so sign up online to participate. The Fall Festival will also feature large inflatable games, corn hole, a live DJ, food trucks, ice cream vendor, and more. You won’t want to miss this! Calling all residents, clubs, groups, and organizations! The Clubhouse needs volunteers to sign up to decorate their trunks, golf carts, tents for the Adult Trunk or Treat on October 31.
