Polk County library card holders can check out and return books, movies, & more! CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY The Clubhouse and HFC offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. There will be no Monday Coffee. Normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, September 2. Residents in Winter Haven will have their trash and recycling picked up Tuesday, September 2, and Lake Wales will be picked up Saturday, September 6. Please do not bring your receptacles to the curb until Monday (WH) or Friday (LW) evening. Contact Republic Services with any questions at 863-665-1489. 6 BE SURE TO SHOUT IT … BINGO! Join friends and neighbors for Bingo on Mondays in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Doors open at 5 and games start at 6:30. Cash prizes given away every Monday! Residents are encouraged to come to the Clubhouse Ballroom at 9 am to hear more about the Supervisor of Elections and obtain important information regarding upcoming local elections. September 29 - Polk County Commissioner Rick Wilson and Polk County Roads and Drainage Director Jay Jarvis will be talking about the widening of Thompson Nursery Road and other Polk County projects and initiatives. Residents are asked to submit questions in advance of the meeting to ensure answers can be provided. Please submit all questions by Monday, September 22 at 5 pm. New residents of Lake Ashton can sign up at either Activities Office and online for a New Resident Orientation held October 10 in the Health and Fitness Center (HFC) Community Center at 2 pm. This is an opportunity to meet community leaders and other new residents, and get information about the community. New residents can also stop by the Clubhouse or HFC during operating hours to receive a welcome packet, sign up for communitywide emails, and more.
