SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE FOR WAHNETA ELEMENTARY By Carolyn Bishop To say the school was overwhelmed with Lake Ashton’s generosity would be an understatement. Each carload of supplies was met with huge smiles and looks of astonishment. The Lake Ashton contributions quickly filled up the stage area in the cafeteria. As the students arrived for the first day of school, they were given a backpack full of all the necessary supplies to help them have a successful year. Each teacher also received a $20 gift card to help with their classroom needs. If you have any free time and would like to volunteer at the school please contact them. The need is great for these students. Due to the current situation with the pandemic the needs we are seeing have been extreme. The book bags, notebooks, binders, etc., were a pleasant surprise, The look on the students’ faces when they were presented with their school supplies was priceless. Thank you again for your support!
