Peanut Butter Monday (third Monday) is the monthly collection of non-perishable items, usually for the food pantry at the Lake Wales Care Center. This month the items will be donated to Victory Ridge Academy, a local non-profit organization and member of the Polk County Public/Charter Schools, where children with special needs overcome daily challenges and enjoy success in learning and living. The following items are needed: Gallon baggies, fruit cups, cereal bars, small individual cereal boxes, macaroni cups or 5 small boxes, ravioli, spaghetti-o’s, etc., crackers, juice boxes, pudding cups, macaroni in micro cups. All cans should have a pull top. Please drop all items off by noon. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Stop by the Activities Desk to put in an application if you are interested in volunteering in any of the following positions at the Clubhouse. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and get to know more about what goes on behind the scenes. Drivers, watch for pedestrians at all times. Obeying posted speed limit and traffic signs can help avert a potential tragedy.
