HAVE VISITORS? November is a traditional time for residents to host family and friends. Remember, when you see a visiting grandchild, they are guests of your neighbors so please extend every courtesy possible. Residents: please be tolerant of extra activity at the pool and other amenities. Those hosting family should remind them to be considerate of residents in this 55 and older community. It is helpful if a resident accompanies their guests at any of the amenities, but is not required. Anyone using amenities at the Clubhouse or HFC should have a Lake Ashton Resident Amenity Access Card or Facilities Guest Pass. All guests can be registered at either Activities Desk during business hours. Residents can call security (number on page 3) to register their guests after hours. Renters must have a copy of their fully executed rental agreement. Visit the Clubhouse Office to get your resident amenity access card (which also serves as your Resident Photo ID Card) made during the published hours for distribution or by appointment. Bring a driver's license with your Lake Ashton address on it, or the warranty deed for your home. QUI LTS OF VALOR By Carolyn Bluhm Quilters in Lake Ashton have come together to create beautiful Quilts of Valor that will be presented to 15 local veterans during the LAVA meeting on January 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm. Nominations are now being accepted from the Lake Ashton community for this special event. The first 15 veterans nominated will receive a quilt during the ceremony, and additional presentations will be scheduled in the future to honor more veterans. A Quilt of Valor® (QOV) is a handmade quilt created by volunteer quilters across the United States and presented to service members or veterans as a heartfelt “thank you” for their service and sacrifice. The QOV program was founded in 2003 by Catherine Roberts, who envisioned quilts as comforting expressions of gratitude. Since then, nearly 450,000 Quilts of Valor have been awarded nationwide. The Quilts of Valor Foundation and its dedicated volunteers seek to recognize those who have served, offering warmth, appreciation, and the affirmation of a caring community. If a nominated veteran cannot attend due to health issues, special arrangements can be made for a personal presentation. Special thanks to LAVA, Creative Quilters, and the LAVA Auxiliary for their support. Contact: Carolyn Bluhm – 719-510-1088, CHBluhm@outlook.com. The information provided will be analyzed by members of the Focus 2030 Group and included in a report to help CDD Supervisors and HOA Directors understand residents' needs and assist in developing future plans and budgets for their districts/organizations. Your participation is important to ensure the survey results are representative of the whole community. You are encouraged to complete each survey online. Each person in your household should complete their own survey. Each resident should complete each individual survey only once. Please complete this survey by November 21. If you do not have a computer or need assistance, please contact Iris Realmuto at 603-759-3513 and a member of the group will work one-on-one with you. https://lakeashtonliving.com/ focus-2030-survey-1 (no login required)
