LAKE ASHTON VETERANS ASSOCIATION USO DANCE By Jim Mecsics, LAVA Commander All Lake Ashton residents are requested to “muster’ at the Health and Fitness Center Community Center on November 10th at 1900 hrs. (that’s 7 PM in civilian time) for an evening of excellent music, dancing, snacks and a chance to mingle with your Lake Ashton community neighbors for a great time. Music will be provided by the Good Stuff Band. There will be complimentary snacks, and you will be able to bring your own refreshments and drinks. Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the HFC Activities Desk (checks only) and proceeds go to support the Lake Ashton Veterans Association programs. You do not need to be a veteran to join us, as everyone is welcome to enjoy a nostalgic trip to the USO Dance Days. TRIVIA By David Fix Come join your neighbors for a fun time — and a chance to win some cash! It’s only $1 to play — teams not required. Maximum of 8 per table. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Doors open at 6pm— Trivia begins at 7 pm. November Trivia Dates: November 12 and 19. KARAOKE NIGHT Sing your heart out at Karaoke in the Ballroom on November 8! $5 tickets are available for purchase online or at the Clubhouse Activities Office. Next date: December 13 COMMUNITY SOCIAL POTLUCK The best way to get to know new people is over a good meal! All residents are invited to bring a dish to share that best represents where they are from, whether that be Brazil or Montana, to a free potluck social on November 29 at 5 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Just be sure your dish can serve eight people. Iced tea, water, paper products, and utensils will be provided. Sign up for the social online or at the Clubhouse Activities Office by November 27.
