GARDEN CLUB By Pam Klawinski The Lake Ashton Garden Club’s 4th Annual Plant Sale on April 9 was a huge success! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who generously donated and those who stopped by to support our Club. The proceeds will assist us in inviting future speakers and supporting community projects. The May 14 Garden Club meeting will be a field trip to HEART Village. “HEART” stands for Hunger, Education And Resource Training and is a college program at Warner University in Lake Wales. Phillip, the village director, will give us a walking tour and show us their hands-on approach to sustainable agricultural techniques and raising animals in a simulated farm village. The tour will be limited to 20 people with a $5 donation per visitor. Interested people should email Pam at pklawinski@yahoo.com by May 6.
