The club recently had a fun social hosted by Cathy & Pete Liska. Special thanks to all who shared delicious food! The most exciting news is that Cathy Liska & Sharon Swanson have qualified for and will participate in the National Senior Games in May. They are the first Lake Ashton swimmers to swim in this event. Everyone is very proud of them and wish them fast times and a lot of fun meeting people from all over the USA. The club continues to hold three group workouts each week — Mondays at 6 pm, Wednesdays at 1:45 pm, and Saturdays at 10 am. The workouts are a fun, social way to improve fitness and swim skills. The only pre-requisite is that you must be able to swim one length of the pool. If you wish to aim for Senior Games, you will be supported in that endeavor. BOCCE BALL NEWS By Vicki and Wayne Creek The 2022 Lake Ashton Bocce Tournament was held March 25 and 26. This year there were 24 teams competing over the two days. Everyone played exceptionally well and the competition was very tough this year. An Awards Ceremony and Dinner was held at the Tap and Grill following the tournament on Saturday. Sponsors of the Bocce Tournament were Jim and Kay Weaver of Weaver/ Loveless Law. They presented the winners with $100, $75 and $50 Gift Certificates to the Tap and Grill and also gave away four tickets to the Community Showcase. Congratulations!
