PICKLEBALL TRIVIA By Valerie Metzner, LAPA Secretary The Lake Ashton Pickleball Association (LAPA) was the proud host of BYOB Trivia III on March 26 at the HFC. Seventeen teams of four competed, but only one came out on top. A crew of Lake Ashton's finest called "The Dink Side of the Moon" won the $100 first place prize and graciously donated it back to the Association. These are the sort of people pickleball is packed with, fun folks who give back. Winning team members were Denise Tessier, Graham Littlehales, Kathy and Pete Liska. While the scores were being tallied between rounds, the inimitable and adorable Dan and Jane Storrs hosted a game of "Has anybody...", a Lake Ashton version of Let's Make a Deal. Many fun facts about attendees were brought to light and then each winner was rewarded with a gift certificate or lottery ticket. It's safe to say many people got lucky that night! Evenings like that one don't just happen; it takes many sponsors and door prize donors to make it great.
