Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday before you go to bed (some electronic devices such as smartphones and iPads make this change automatically). NEW RESIDENT ORIENTATION The next new resident orientation will be held in the Clubhouse Ballroom on March 17 at 2 pm. Get introduced to the community, and meet other new residents and community leaders. Sign up online or at either Activities Office. If club facilitators would like to set up an information table at the New Resident Orientation, please send an email to Sheila Moreland, smoreland@lakeashtoncdd.com. 6 2026 CITY OF LAKE WALES COMMISSION ELECTION Voting for all Lake Ashton residents who live in Lake Wales will take place in the Clubhouse Ballroom April 7 from 7 am to 7 pm. To request a Vote-byMail ballot, contact the Supervisor of Elections at 863-534-5888 or https://www.polkelections.gov/. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ELECTIONS In 2026, there are three seats up for election on the Lake Ashton Community Development District (LW) Board of Supervisors and two seats up for election on the Lake Ashton II Community Development District (WH) Board of Supervisors. Candidates must qualify starting June 8 through noon on June 12. Candidates must qualify for the office of Supervisor with the Polk County Supervisor of Elections located at 70 Florida Citrus Blvd., Winter Haven, Florida 33880, 863-534-5888. All candidates shall qualify for individual seats in accordance with Section 99.061, Florida Statutes, and must also be a “qualified elector” of the District, as defined in Section 190.003, Florida Statutes. A “qualified elector” is any person at least 18 years of age who is a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of the State of Florida and of the District, and who is registered to vote with the Polk County Supervisor of Elections. Campaigns shall be conducted in accordance with Chapter 106, Florida Statutes. Contact the Polk County Supervisor of Elections for more information.
