you and go over the Lake Ashton Friendly Bocce Ball rules and regulations. Our 2026 “Newbie Clinic” was a success again this year. The cold weather did not hinder players from coming out. Our Friendly Bocce Tailgate parties for 2026 will be held through April from 4 to 6 pm on the first and third Fridays of the month. Bring your drinks and an appetizer to share. This is a great opportunity to socialize and play some games. Our Friendly Bocce Tournament will be held on March 21 (rain date March 22) and is limited to 16 teams. Sign-up for the tournament will commence on March 2 at 8 am. The first 16 two-member teams to respond to the email sent March 2 will be entered for play. The Awards celebration location is to be determined. More information will be emailed to our Bocce players and posted on TOLA and Free Talk of LA. LA BLACK HERITAGE CLUB By Charles Roland The Lake Ashton Black Heritage Club would like to say “Thank You” to all that attended our Black History Month presentation marking the 100-year celebration commemorating the acknowledgement of Black History in the United States. We, as a group, enjoy our community and our many friends and neighbors. It’s wonderful that we can regard one another in Lake Ashton with respect, kindness and seeking understanding. With spring being in the air and joy and 33 warmth filling our hearts, we’d like to open our arms and smiles to you in brotherhood and neighborly care and kindness. We all have something to celebrate and respect with one another. As the Black Heritage Club, we are proud to be a part of the Lake Ashton community. A community that not only shares the same zip codes but also shares common interests. Let’s celebrate together! LABHC meets the second Monday at 4 pm in the Clubhouse Card Room. ONE COMMUNITY CLUB By Michael Lee The first of several town hall-type community meetings was held on February 10th with well over 200 neighbors in attendance. The next town hall-type community meeting is 3:30PM on March 10th at the HFC Community Room. Come and learn more about the process, feasibility and potential impact of merging the CDDs and truly creating One Community. The Team can be contacted at OneCommunityOneCDD@gmail.com. One Community Club is a Lake Ashton egistered club and not endorsed by LACDD OR LAIICDD. 2026 CLUB FAIR Thank you to all of the Lake Ashton Clubs, Groups, and Organizations who participated, and the resident attendees who came out to meet representatives, ask questions, sign up for membership or purchase tickets to club events on January 29 in the Clubhouse Ballroom.
