This month is perfect for those looking to embrace a more active lifestyle, such as tennis or pickleball. There are leisurely groups, beginners’ lessons and competition play on the HFCs tennis and pickleball courts. Be sure to stop by and pick up the HFC monthly calendar which lists the pickleball schedule. The HFC also offers a wide selection of fitness classes to suit various interests and skill levels. Not into standard exercise programs, how about line-dancing, which is a form of exercise? There is line-dancing five days a week at the HFC from beginners to advanced. If structured classes are not your preference, simply taking a walk outdoors is a fantastic way to begin your journey toward healthier living. Lake Ashton offers a beautiful tropical setting and a welcoming environment making it easy to start a new routine and enjoy all that the season has to offer, so whether you prefer group activities or individual pursuits, there is something for everyone. The HFC has a range of exciting activities and events planned in the month of March for LA residents. Be sure to mark your calendar for the next LA II CDD Board of Supervisors meeting. It is on March 19, at 9:00 AM, where you can either attend in person or via Zoom. This meeting provides an opportunity for community members to stay informed about local initiatives, hear updates from the board, and participate in the decision-making process. We are pleased to host an Educational Seminar titled “What’s APP” focusing on health and wellness, scheduled for March 24 at 1:00 PM. Rebecca Player from the Winter Haven Library is the speaker for this seminar. You may sign up at the HFC’s activities desk or call 863-595-1562 to sign up by phone. They are back! The HFC is featuring the Beatles Beat Band, back by popular demand, on March 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. This tribute band rocked the house last year providing a memorable evening of iconic Beatle tunes. You may purchase your tickets at the HFC Activities Desk. Let us celebrate the month of March. Stay active, connect with others, and be open to new activities. This will lead to a positive outlook on life. 10
