MIND&BODY AMATEUR RADIO EXAMINATION The Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Association is trying to assess the resident’s interest in earning an entry level Technician license by taking an exam preparation class given here at Lake Ashton. Upon successful completion of the written multiple choice test (35 questions) the student will receive a 10 year renewable license and will be authorized for transmission privileges on specific amateur radio bands. The student will also be able to participate in disaster communications and other radio activities if desired. The class will be given once a week for six weeks for two hours per class. Class would be offered in midSeptember and after completion of the class the local ARRL Volunteer Examiners would set up a test session to allow the participants and any others interested to take exams for all classes of Amateur Radio Licenses (Technician Class, General Class and Amateur Extra). If you are interested in taking this class please contact David Bishop N1FCW at DBishop1867@gmail.com. Give your name and email address and indicate what days and times you would prefer. You will be advised if there is sufficient interest to hold a class and if there is when and where the classes will be given. Class size will be limited to 12 students and they will be permitted on a first come first serve basis.
