CLUBS CAMERA CLUB By Larry Hillock The March meeting will be held on Monday, March 13 at 10:30 In the Cinema. All members are welcome to bring a few of their photos on a memory stick so they can be shared with the group. We will discus the results of the Fine Arts & Photography Show. Members are encouraged to suggest future outings and possible guess speakers. All Lake Ashton residents are welcome to attend. GARDEN CLUB By Lynn Davis Lake Ashton’s Garden Club’s recent meeting spotlighted the expertise of Gene, the Barefoot Gardener. He demonstrated and explained how to make those holiday poinsettias last and become part of the landscaping. Members were able to choose poinsettias to take home to propagate. The club is excited to announce two events for March. The general meeting will be March 9 at 10 am in the Pavilion. Learn how to propagate poinsettias and other plants. In addition to the monthly meeting, Barb Cassidy, a member of the club, has offered to give a tour of her garden. The tour will be on March 23 also at 10am. Mark your calendars butterfly lovers! Barb has a wide variety of plants that attract these pollinators. Please come to the March meeting for Barb’s address or email Lynn Davis at crladavis@aol.com. The Garden Club’s second “silent auction” is tentatively scheduled for April 13 near National Gardening Day. Plans are underway. A wide selection of plants and garden materials at huge savings will be available. This is the club’s main fundraiser! Members will be on hand to also help with gardening questions. WISCONSIN GATHERING By Dottie Huven Calling all Wisconsonites! Anyone who has worked or lived in Wisconsin, is a Badger, Brewer or Packer fan is invited to a Wisconsin Gathering at the Pavilion on March 12, 4 to 7 pm. Bratwurst, buns, sauerkraut, condiments and wonderful homemade desserts will be provided. Bring a side dish (Native to Wisconsin) to pass, your plates, utensils, and BYOB.
