LACDD NEWS By Christine Wells, LA (LW) CDD Community Director On March 20, it will officially be Spring at Lake Ashton! This is a time for beautiful flowers blooming, cute baby animals, and lots of guests in the community! Staff loves to see residents showing guests the amazing amenities at Lake Ashton and it is even more enjoyable to meet their family and friends, especially the little ones! While this is the busiest time of year for everyone at Lake Ashton, be sure to take time out to "smell the flowers" and enjoy your community. There is a plethora of things to do at Lake Ashton and staff is here to help. Be sure to stop by the Activities Desk to see what fun things are planned for the month! With many new residents moving in this is a good time for seasoned residents to show new residents how to enjoy everything Lake Ashton has to offer. Invite a new resident to enjoy a meal at Ashton Tap and Grill or have a drink by the pool. Suggest that they come to a special event, fitness class, a movie in the Cinema, or a game of bowling. Book a tee time and enjoy the beautiful Lake Ashton golf courses with a new neighbor. Whatever it is, help a new resident feel happy and accepted in their new community by being friendly and welcoming. Remember, a good way to start a new relationship is by having an open heart, mind, and arms. Many projects are being worked on in and around the Clubhouse. Ashton Tap and Grill has received a new paint job and the acoustic panels are in the process of being recovered and will be installed soon. The column caps along Thompson Nursery Road have been pressure washed and will painted soon. A new pool lift has been installed at the Outdoor Pool and stop bars have been repainted at the intersection of Mulligan Drive and Dunmore Drive and the intersection of Lake Ashton Blvd and Ashton Club Drive. Supervisors and Staff will be working on planning for the 2023 fiscal year budget soon. Any suggested projects or budget considerations can be sent to cwells@lakeashtoncdd.com. Staff is also working on a special project that will involve the entire community in adding to the beauty of the Clubhouse. Stay tuned for more details in the April LA Times. Ashton Tap and Grill has a new Pool/Bar menu in addition to new lunch and dinner menus. Stop by to taste some of the new menu options or enjoy some best sellers.
