LA NINERS By Diane Struble Rain, rain, go away! The cold, wet weather forced the cancellation of day two of the Niners/Blueman Tournament and a day of league play. However, the Niners are looking forward to sunny skies and warmer temperatures as they welcome four new members giving a total of 91 members! February 21 and 22 was member/member two-day tournament with a delicious lunch by Vicki and her Eagle's Nest crew on the second day. Here are a few tips that will help speed up play without any negative effects on your game. • Play "Ready Golf" • Always carry a spare ball in your pocket. • Decide what club to use before going to your ball. If undecided, take an additional club - this avoids making additional trips back to your cart. • Line up your putt before it's your turn so you are ready to putt. • Always record your score (and your teammate's) at the next tee. Never record your score at the green. There will be two open board positions in April, Vice President and Secretary.
