EVENTS 2022 QUILT SHOW By Marsha Martin What a wonderful turnout the Creative Quilters had for their quilt show. Over 300 people came through the Ballroom doors to enjoy the beautiful quilts and other items on display. Raffle tickets were on sale for a king size quilt made by JoAnne Malcolm and the response was fantastic! A whopping $1,113 was raised for the purchase of material for the Blankets of Love Lake Ashton (BOLLA). The winner, Tyrena, was from Tower Rock and had visited the show earlier in the day. Sew What, BOLLA, and The Art of Beading had displays set up which added more things for the people to enjoy. The Creative Quilters thank all the many volunteers who helped to set up the show and make it successful! Creative Quilters meets every Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm at The HFC in the craft room. Call Marsha Martin at 406-788-8087 for more info. BOLLA THANKS THE QUI LTER’ S GROUP By Pat Neaves The Quilt Show held last month was enjoyed by many residents. The quilt raffle raised over $1,000, all donated to buy material for Blankets of Love at Lake Ashton (BOLLA). This group also donates one Saturday every month creating blanket tops for BOLLA. Their support means so much to the children in Polk County. The BOLLA members are grateful for their help which reaches over 1,000 children every year. They are one reason Lake Ashton a special place to call home! 21ST BIRTHDAY WEEK The weeklong celebration in January commemorating the 21st birthday of Lake Ashton was an absolute blast! Pictured above is the Group Photo, as well as some of the residents who brought their own chairs down to the parking lot to enjoy music, games, concession stand snacks and drinks, and camaraderie. 24
